May 2nd, 2019 is National Day of Prayer. As you are lifting up our nation, its leaders and the world, we ask that you include the students in Zambia who rely on you for their survival. We asked some of our students for their prayer requests, and this is what they shared:

Joshua, Grade 12

“I want to request that you pray for Zambia and its economy. May you pray for peace in Zambia, and for wisdom for our leaders. Thank you.”

Margaret, Grade 7:

“As you are praying, I urge you to pray for the development of Zambia, and I request for you to pray for the leaders of Zambia to lead Zambia with peace and harmony.”

Judith, Grade 9:

“As you are praying, remember to pray for us here in Zambia for we have been experiencing serious droughts. Our crops are not growing and there will be much starvation. Pray for us that God should bless us with rains. Thank you.”

Jessica, Grade 10:

“My favorite Bible verse is 1 Thessalonians 5:17 which says “Pray without ceasing.” As you are praying for Zambia, pray without ceasing so that we may be happy and find more sponsors to sponsor us.”

David, Grade 11:

“As you are praying for us, I would like for you to pray for our teachers that they may teach us well. Also pray for the pupils that they may understand what they are taught and be guided by the spirit of God. Thank you.”

Thank you for your dedication to seeing lives changed across the globe! Your prayers have lifted up children and families who are in desperate need of help and hope. The theme for this year’s National Day of Prayer is “Love One Another” which comes from the words of Jesus in John 13:34 which says, “Love one another just as I have loved you.” By giving, serving, and praying you are truly living out Jesus’s command.
