1. Acceptance of Terms

Welcome to African Vision of Hope (“we,” “us,” “our,” or “the Organization”). By accessing or using our website at africanvisionofhope.org (the “Site”), registering for an event, donating, sponsoring a child, or opting in to receive text messages from us, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions (“Terms”). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Site or our services.

2. Who We Are

African Vision of Hope is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to transforming communities in Africa through child sponsorship, education, and related core initiatives. Our mailing address is 17 Professional Park Dr., Maryville, IL 62062.

3. Use of the Site

You agree to use the Site only for lawful purposes and in a way that does not infringe the rights of, restrict, or inhibit anyone else’s use of the Site. You may not use the Site to:

  • Violate any applicable local, state, national, or international law
  • Transmit any harmful, threatening, abusive, or harassing content
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any portion of the Site or its systems
  • Impersonate any person or entity

4. Donations, Sponsorships, and Event Registration

All donations made through the Site are voluntary and, except as required by law or as otherwise stated at the time of donation, are non-refundable. Event registration fees, child sponsorships, and auction item purchases are subject to the specific terms provided at the time of purchase. African Vision of Hope is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, and donations are tax-deductible to the fullest extent of the law. Please consult your tax advisor for guidance specific to your situation.

As noted on our Site: your trust matters to us, and we promise to steward your gift responsibly. Occasionally we receive more contributions for a given project than can be wisely applied to that project. When that happens, we use these funds to meet a similar pressing need, and we reserve the right to reallocate funds where they are most needed in alignment with our mission.

5. Text Messaging (SMS) Program Terms

By providing your mobile phone number and opting in — including through our event and auction platform — you consent to receive text messages from African Vision of Hope related to event updates, mobile bidding/auction alerts, donation appeals, sponsorship updates, and related communications.

  • Message frequency varies. You may receive messages related to specific events or campaigns you have registered for or opted into.
  • Message and data rates may apply. Standard messaging rates from your wireless carrier may apply to any messages sent or received.
  • Opt-out: You may opt out of receiving text messages at any time by replying STOP to any message. After opting out, you will receive one final confirmation message, and no further messages will be sent unless you opt in again.
  • Help: For help, reply HELP to any message, or contact us at info@africanvisionofhope.org or (618) 288-7695.
  • Carriers: Supported carriers include AT&T, Verizon Wireless, T-Mobile, Sprint, and other major U.S. wireless carriers. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
  • Consent is not a condition of purchase or participation. You are not required to opt in to text messaging to attend our events, make a donation, sponsor a child, or otherwise participate in our programs.

6. Intellectual Property

All content on the Site — including text, graphics, logos, images, and software — is the property of African Vision of Hope or its licensors and may not be reproduced, distributed, or used without express written permission, as noted in our Site footer.

The Site may contain links to third-party websites or services. We are not responsible for the content, privacy practices, or terms of any third-party sites.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Site and all content are provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. African Vision of Hope does not guarantee that the Site will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.
