What was your childhood like?
I never had hope of ever reaching this far with my schooling but African Vision of Hope came in at just the right time and at a time that I needed you the most. My childhood had been that of constant struggles all the time. I only knew my mother and she worked so hard to just take us to school. She always supported my siblings and me in our schooling but we constantly struggled to have the income. There were many terms I stayed in the village and did not go to school.

How did you hear about African Vision of Hope?
My mother heard about African Vision of Hope from a family friend.

God had heard our prayers and brought you to us. My brother and I were both accepted and everyday was a blessing that I am so grateful for.

What are you going to school for?
I am studying Electrical Engineering at Lusaka Business and Technical College

How has your time at African Vision of Hope helped prepare you for college?
My college life has been challenging but I am enjoying the challenge of it. The assignments and electrical projects are exciting to study. I have been studying with friends Austin and Misheck from African Vision of Hope who have been helpful. We enjoy our study time together and then we stay and discuss the word of God; they are so grounded in things of God and it inspires me.

What are your goals for the future?
When I am finished school I would like to sponsor one to two pupils at African Vision of Hope. You have taught me how to give back to the community and that is the best way I can think of to help.

What are some of your favorite activities?
I enjoy gathering with friends and playing ball.

Do you have a favorite bible verse?
Today I was reading and it really struck me,
“In this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while, if need be, you have been grieved by various trials, that the genuineness of your faith, being much more precious than gold that perishes, though it is tested by fire, may be found to praise, honor, and glory at the revelation of Jesus Christ.” -1 Peter 6 – 7
