Alfred, a sponsored seminary graduate, and his wife Lilian
When you sponsor a student to seminary, you are empowering them and making it possible for them to reach into their villages and communities and spread the Gospel. Alfred graduated seminary in 2018, and since then he has been working hard to reach his community and the surrounding villages with the good news of Christ. He has a few prayer requests that he would like to share with you as he and his wife, Lilian, strive to be the hands and feet of God.
First, Alfred would like you to pray for a few programs he is implementing in his church. They will be hosting the region’s women’s conference. In his village and region surrounding it, there are only three churches, and they have less than 50 members each. He asks that you pray for the success of the conference, and especially keep the women in your prayers. Many of them will travel to the conference on foot, carrying their belongings on their heads. Many come from far places so it will mean a few days of walking. Alfred’s wife, Lilian, will assist in leading the conference.

Alfred would also like to share a praise. In August, his church held a Vacation Bible School that was well attended and impacted the lives of many children who had never heard the Gospel. They were even able to play music on electric speakers, a feature Alfred was very proud of, and teach the children praise and worship songs. Another praise is for his wife, Lilian, who lost part of her leg to illness last year. She has been able to learn to walk again with the help of a prosthetic leg, making it easier for her to resume ministry work and taking care of her family.
