When you sponsor a seminary student like Alfred, you are not only empowering them to reach into their villages and communities and spread the gospel, you are changing the lives of their families.

Hope

Alfred and his wife Lilian have three beautiful children named Manasseh, Salifyanji, and Hope. Alfred’s son, Hope, was born with a cleft pallete, and Alfred spent many years working to try and provide him with the medical help he urgently needed. With a large family and growing medical fees, paying for seminary school fees was nearly impossible. Hope’s cleft palate was so severe he could not close his eyes and had to sleep with his eyes open. African Vision of Hope was able to arrange for corrective surgery, and today Hope is a thriving 8th grade student who loves school and loves to dance. Pictured is Hope, with his surgeon and nurses, after his final cleft palate surgery in 2014.

Baptism

Thanks to you, Alfred graduated with his seminary degree in 2018. Since then, he and his wife Lillian, who is also a seminary graduate, have been working hard to reach their community and the surrounding villages with the good news of Christ. Alfred planted two churches in a rural province of Zambia where witchcraft runs rampant. The families in these congregations face the constant threat of ritual killings and kidnappings. Even with these mounting obstacles, Alfred continues to be the hands and feet of Christ, and last month, he baptized three new members of his church (pictured).

Alfred family

“Seminary has helped me acquire theological knowledge and experience that I can use as I pastor my church. I am very grateful for all of the ways African Vision of Hope has helped my family; our lives would look very different without their support.” – Alfred
